Two decks, one identity: domain pairs that actually hold up

Why your second domain costs more than it looks, and how to tell before you register.

N Nadia P. Reader 6 Jul 2026 · 1 min read

A second domain is not half a deck — it is a tax on every rune draw and every card with two symbols. The question is never "can I splash this", it is "how many turns will I spend unable to cast the thing I splashed for".

A rule of thumb

Count the cards that need both domains. If it is more than a quarter of your deck, you are not playing a pair, you are playing two decks that occasionally meet.
